Help us celebrate National Preservation Month this May. Various events will be held throughout the city including: walking tours of historic downtown Dickinson, exhibits featuring local architecture, and special presentations on historic preservation and local history.
International Museum Day—May 18, 2008
Join the Museum Center for an open house today to celebrate International Museum Day. Enjoy the first opportunity to see the season’s new exhibits.
Memorial Day—May 26, 2008
The Dickinson Museum Center switches to summer hours: 9:00 to 5:00 daily. Guided tours of Prairie Outpost Park will be available daily through mid-August.
Roughrider Days—July 4th Weekend
Events throughout Dickinson will celebrate Roughrider Days and the 4th of July. School reunions and rodeos are an annual highlight.
National Cowboy Day—July 2008

Southwest, ND Photo Contest—August, 2008
For the first time ever, the Dickinson Museum Center will feature a photography contest for one of its major summer events. Call 701-456-6225 for more information.
Ethnic Festival—August 16, 2008
The park will feature a number of food booths and special events to honor the region’s ethnic heritage.
Mid-August
Guided tours of Prairie Outpost Park will be available by appointment only through mid-October, when buildings are closed for the winter season.
Labor Day—September 1, 2008
Daily summer hours end, and winter hours begin. Hours to be announced.
Archives Awareness Month—October, 2008
Help us celebrate awareness of archival, library, and research collections at the Dickinson Museum Center. Specific events to be announced.
